![One more race in the books and another win! We started in front and ran clean all day aside from when I hammered the car over some cross grain that bent a rear wheel and shredded the tube. Fortunately it happened at about RM31 [of 48] on lap 2 which was conveniently located approximately 1 mile from our main pit.
While I was in for the tire change we decided to save another stop and do the fuel + navigator change as well, so out went Cole and in came my brother. Despite the stop our lead continued to grow due to attrition in the field so I backed way out for the final lap to save the car and ourselves (though it’s debatable whether slower is better in a 9 car).
All things considered it was a great race and puts me on track for my goal this year of a championship. Beyond the class, @kavemanmotorsports's 1600 result puts team Run JMC in 2nd for the team challenge! Of course there’s still more racing ahead of us than behind us this year, but we’re sitting in a great place right now.
I'm currently writing this sitting in my RV at @willow_springs_raceway getting ready for one more weekend of racing with @raceluckydog - after which I'll have a break until the July @mojaveoffroad race at @glenhelenraceway
